The Favorit line is comprised of a wide range of horticulture substrates which meet the needs of the most common cultivations in the vegetable, flowery and nursery crops sector. The formulas are distinguished by the use of vernalized black peat moss, typical of the German production tradition and bentonite clay, which offers buffering properties and top agronomic yields. The formulas can be changed upon request by adding perlite or varying / adding clay. All products are limed to the pH usage value and supplemented with water-soluble mineral fertilizer NPK (18-10-20 or other).
This group of substrates is very appreciated for the production of vegetables in pressed peat cubes.

The use of vernalized black peat, combined with an appropriate level of humidity, allows Favorit substrates to compact under the effect of pressure. This characteristic makes them irreplaceable in horticultural practices that require high mechanization. The compaction of the substrate, for example, is the basis of the production of cubed vegetables, but also favors, in the case of sowing in trays, the extraction of the seedlings for transplanting.
In flower production, however, a composition based on black peat can be particularly advantageous with short cycle crops, where rapid growth, stimulated by an abundant quantity of easily available water, is preferred. Or, in cases where a slower and more progressive drying of the substrate (e.g. cyclamen) is better.
